Cape Villas Accommodation Development
Harley Global has recently been involved in the development of 28 survey strata lots for a short-stay tourist accommodation project called Cape Villas. The park is located on Caves Road approximately 1km from the Dunsborough town-site and work commenced on the site in December, 2006.
Tourist Parks of this nature are designed to sell individual lots with plans for various building designs to investors, for which they are entitled to up to three months stay at any time during the year. The villas are then let out as tourist accommodation for the remaining months, generating an income for the owners.
Tourism strata projects are complex in nature which attracts input and controls from a number of stakeholders. Local Government and Tourism WA via the Western Australian Planning Commission impose controls via legal agreements and management statements with the objective of achieving a uniform and well managed tourist facility within an acceptable period of time.
Harley Global was one of a group of consultants who advised on various aspects of the project, including conducting site survey, preliminary set-out inspections and consultation with the Shire for site management and many more important tasks.
Cape Villas is due to be an exciting project, adding to the already diverse tourism investment opportunities throughout the area.
