Why have we embarked on this name evolution? Let us first look to the past.

The genesis of the firm goes back to 1954 when Eric Harley began a surveying practice in Albany. From those beginnings the business grew into a partnership with Rod Hedderwick which during the 1980s transformed into a Company with new offices established in the centres of Bunbury and Busselton.

In 2001, Harley Hedderwick and Webber evolved to Harley Survey Group, fuelled by the firm's growth. The first logo was developed which was a simplified triangle superimposed on a symbol of the Globe (seen above).

In November 2005, with the assistance of a marketing firm, Harley Survey Group's famous 'dots' were first introduced at a whole-firm launch function at the Old Swan Brewery site in Perth. This colourful and symbolic brand lifted Harley Survey Group above the mission brown stereotype image that was so often associated with the surveying industry. The circles were developed as a symbol of the various services and markets that the Group operated in. Their convergence represented seamless integration of all elements of the business and at the same time, created a sense of direction and purpose towards excellence.

So, our history shows that we have always been receptive to change. Beneath our branding, however, we have also been evolving our services over quite a long period of time. Clients have been requesting a new, more holistic service across the whole range of issues that are encountered when developing land. So, while surveying is and will remain our core business, we are now offering multidisciplinary services in adjacent fields, including:
