Perth to Bunbury Highway
The Perth to Bunbury Highway is one of the most exciting and biggest infrastructure projects happening in the state.
It is a massive scale project, involving the design and construction of 70.5 kilometres of dual carriageway linking Perth with Bunbury, bypassing heavily populated areas in Mandurah and the Dawesville Peninsula. The result will be a reduction in travel time for road users by around 30 minutes.
Harley Global's involvement in the project was to realign a five kilometre section of the boundary of the Highway near Paganoni Road in Karnup. The alignment was necessary due to the discovery of a rare breed of orchid in the planned boundary area. As part of the project's commitment to minimise environmental impact, the survey team had to be careful to preserve the habitat in the adjacent Paganoni Reserve.
